How to borrow documents

On Books page on our website, you can find book recommendations of English language books. For Hungarian books, you should visit our website in Hungarian. For books in any other language, please visit our Library’s intercultural collection.

If you are looking for books in english or other foreign language, you can ask for help at the administration desk at the Adult section and also at the Children’s section. The intercultural collection is placed at the end of the Adult section floor after turning left from the entrance.

When the Library is open, our colleagues at the literature service desk can help you find the book you are looking for. You can also ask for help by phone (+36-84/506-598/2) or via e-mail (help@konyvtar-siofok.hu).

If the item you are looking for is borrowed, you can place a hold on the item for 120 Ft/document. If the document is returned, we notify you via e-mail or phone. We hold the item for 6 days (on which the Library is open) from the day of the notification. After 6 days, the document can be borrowed by any member of the Library.

If borrowed items are not returned until the end of the loaning period, and it is not renewed, the library member has to pay overdue fines. Every member is warned about the end of a loaning period via e-mail generated by our digital loaning system.

Overdue fines have to be payed regardless of discounted membership.

Overdue fines: 40 Ft/week for an item – the overdue time starts counting 1 week after the due date.

Items can be renewd in person, by phone, via e-mail, in our digital catalogue after signing in or in the Qulto eCard application on smartphone or tablet.
